Northumberland Knightflyers Basketball Club

The Northumberland Knightflyers Basketball Club is open to people of all ages, our junior team has an age range of 5 - 16 years old, while our senior team has no upper age limit. The Knightflyers also run a session for young disabled people in conjunction with the Blyth Valley Disabled Forum.

We also welcome casual players who just wish to improve their game.

Our head coach, Alan Hoyle, and junior head coach, Isobelle Gibson, have both received training from the six time World Champions, the Chicago Bulls.

Training details : Both the senior and junior clubs train each Friday, 7pm till 9pm at Coquet High School in Amble (Acklington Road, Amble, NE65 0NG), each session costs £5.


The Northumberland Knightflyers Disabled Basketball Session takes place at Blyth Sportscentre (Bolam Park, Blyth, Northumberland, NE24 5BT) at 11am to 12pm. Abled people also welcome.

A free session for young people under 16 also takes place each Friday at Coquet High School, 3:30pm - 5pm.

All our staff have experience with coaching basketball in Northumberland and other areas in the UK. The unique experience of training with the six time world champions, the Chicago Bulls allows the Knightflyers to offer an unmatched training programme to people of all ages and abilities.
